The Lay Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and St. Mary of Guadalupe (MLSCGpe), had this year their first Assembly, with the participation of those who were elected and delegated by their communities.

The objectives of the Assembly were:

Objective 1: To share experiences, concerns, and proposals, actively participating in the Assembly, to give our contribution to the XIII General Chapter of the MSCGpe and serve to elaborate the lines of action of the following six years for the MLSCGpe section.

Objective 2:

To choose the Coordinating Council of MLSCGpe by means of the protocol elaborated for this moment, in order that they, along with the corresponding Prefect of Apostolate, promote the Institute of the MLSCGpe.

All the events were held in an atmosphere of joy, novelty, and good disposition. On Saturday 11, we had the Eucharist presided over by the R.P. Guadalupe Estrada (MSC), who motivated and encouraged the brothers to participate with great enthusiasm in this ecclesial event. Then the R.P. Manuel Castellanos (MSC), gave the theme: The pastoral value of the spirituality of the Heart of Jesus. There were teams, both for reflection, analysis, and proposals to contribute to the General Chapter, which participated with great interest. Also, there was a meeting with R. M. Virginia Morfín Figueroa (MSCGpe), Superior General and four Mothers of the General Council and our general secretary Maria de Jesus, to carry out the voting to choose the Coordinating Council of the MLSCGpe, resulting as follows:

President: Francisco Hernández López, from Cuernavaca, Morelos

Vice President: Felipa Morales Luna, of Saltillo, Coahuila

Regional Coordinator: Dolores Emperatriz López Martínez

Secretary: Cirilo Aguirre Ramírez, from CDMX

Treasurer: Rosa María López Lara

Vocal: René Rodríguez Ortega.

The elected brothers accepted their positions with faith and good disposition. We thank God for the MLSCGpe Institute, it is a gift from Our Founding Mother, the Servant of God Maria Amada on her 50th Anniversary of her Passover to Heaven.

As the final event, we have the valuable presence of Mr. Héctor Martínez de Castro, president of the Honor Guard, who share his experience as president of the Institution to the Assembly and to the new Council. Finally, we had the conclusion of the Assembly and we prepared to participate in the 50th Anniversary of the departure to the sky of Our Founding Mother.

We give infinite thanks to God for his presence, his multiple signs of love that encourage us to continue walking as Lay Missionaries and promoting charism and spirituality, to make the dream of SD Maria Amada a reality to have a legion of souls dedicated to love and promote the love to the Heart of Jesus.
