IDENTITY

From this perspective, the Lay Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and of Saint Mary of Guadalupe, (MLSCGpe), are an association formed by Christian laity with a personal and professional life, who wish to live our baptismal vocation in Church, as a free response to the call and sending that God makes us for a mission, participating in the charism, spirit and mission donated by God to the Servant of God María Amada del Niño Jesús, in communion of faith and fraternal closeness with our missionary religious sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Saint Mary of Guadalupe (MSCGpe)

As lay Christians, we feel called to embody evangelical values in personal life to radiate them into family, social, work, cultural and political life. These values are: mercy, forgiveness, honesty, patience in difficult conditions; peace and purity of heart. Furthermore, we feel the desire to contribute our talents and charisms in the construction of a better society and a more testimonial ecclesial community, striving to lead a life consistent with the Gospel.

The same Spirit that motivated the Servant of God María Amada del Niño Jesús, makes us understand everything (Jn. 14, 26), urges us to correspond to the longings of the Heart of Jesus, our Savior: “Fire I have come to bring upon the earth, and how I wish it were already on!” (Lk. 12, 49)

We always consider ourselves Missionaries, with the awareness of having been called and sent by Jesus. We are secular Christians, members of the Catholic Church, who, feeling the impulse of the Holy Spirit, want to respond to the call of God, and we decided to intensify our baptismal commitment, cooperating in missionary action, as Lay people, through human and Christian promotion. , especially of the brothers most needy materially or spiritually, to make present the Kingdom of God in the world.
