VOWS RENOVATION

On July 23, 2017, the Juniora sisters met in the Juniorate house, located in San Marcos 24 Street. The purpose was the renewal of their religious vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience.

Which it has been preceded by a preparation and a reflection on how the experience of religious vows is reflected in the community life, in the apostolate and spiritually.

During the six years of the Juniorate, the sisters carry out their apostolate in different communities, as well as preparing themselves academically by studying a profession according to their personal gifts in order to fulfill their mission in service to the Church and the society in general. In the course of a year, they have monthly meetings with the purpose of strengthening their charismatic identity and sense of belonging as Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and of Santa Maria de Guadalupe.

On the day of the renewal, each of the sisters carries the formula of renewal, written by hand, signifying their personal and responsible commitment to the community and the Church to live their Consecration through the religious vows. The renewal takes place within the Eucharistic celebration, specifically at the time of the offertory to deliver life and bread together with wine.

The formula is pronounced and handed over to the Superior General, Reverend Mother Virginia Morfin Figueroa, who receives each one with a hug, symbolizing their belonging to the Congregation.

This renewal ends with a gathering, there was also the presence of some priests and sisters from other communities who join the celebration with joy.
